Healix is well aware of Jane Kennet’s ability to organise events and to raise money for good causes but now her efforts have also been recognised by the British Heart Foundation. As one of 8 people honoured by the charity at a celebratory evening in London on March 4th, Jane was delighted to receive an award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the BHF.
Having organised various fund raising events at work and chivvying friends and colleagues into joining her on the London to Paris on-road bike race in 2009, and a 1,550 mile cycle ride from London to Gibraltar in 2011, Jane has succeeded, (along with her willing recruits), in raising over £15,000 for the BHF. She has also provided the charity with invaluable support by putting her medical training to good use and volunteering as their First Aider on all the London to Paris on-road and off-road bike rides since 2009.
We are all just waiting to hear her plans for her next fund raising event!
The British Heart Foundation save lives every day through pioneering research, providing vital information to help people reduce their own heart health risks, campaigning for change and supporting and caring for heart patients.
